LOCATION: Muğla / Türkiye
SERVICE: Concept Project
TOTAL CONSTRUCTION AREA: 7.000 m2
PROJECT DATE: 2018
CONCEPT DESIGN DEVELOPMENT: Salih Z. SALALI & Doruk SALALI
The site is in Bodrum Yalikavak, which recently became more and more popular as a summer housing destination but still have not lost its natural beauty. It consists of 20 villas with a panoramic sea view. Most of the villas are standing back to back to ensure privacy and maximize the areas allocated for the gardens and terraces. Thans to this layout each villa can enjoy stunning scenery of the sunset and a panoramic view of the Yalikavak bay over the marina.
The mostly used living spaces are positioned horizontally on the same level. Owing to the inclination, villas are accessible from multiple levels. As a strategy of settling inside the slope, a sunken garden in each villa creates an intimate courtyard which helps with the ventilation and natural lighting.
Particular importance to the use of local materials is given to minimize the environmental impact and achieve a coherent settlement with the nature.
